Today, many writers use external sources, to help them back up their own written work. But, before you submit a piece of written work as being your own product, you must ensure that you are properly citing the sources you use, and are giving credit where credit is due. You cannot use another author’s work without citing to it, and saying that you used an external source. You must cite to the other pieces of work you used, before you use it. Whether you use a book, or an online site, for additional information and credibility to your own work, there are requirments for you to cite to those authors, whose work you have used to help in writing your own work.

There are several sites online which allow you to place your written document in their site, and check for plagerized work. So, if you don’t want to get caught in this situation, when you are submitting your own written work, it is wise to review and revise your own work, to ensure that you have properly cited to those other authors, and other sources which you have used in order to complete your own personal written documents you’re submitting.

The Internet is an important tool for modern businesses. From the growing amount of people logging on everyday, to the new advances that exist in website design, there are many ways to go about gaining exposure through the various methods available online. In order to successfully build an online brand, there are a couple important elements to consider that can help make the entire process is easy and effective.

Good Website Design

Good website design is an extremely important element in building a successful online brand. The website is the first impression for your online customers when they initially deal with your business. Whether they are referred there through word of mouth, or find it via a search engine query, if the website is not appealing and easy to navigate, they will end up leaving; taking their business with them.

Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization is another vital aspect in building an online brand. This helps make sure that your website will appear in the search engines for particular keywords relevant to the products or services your business offers. The better optimized your website is, the more targeted traffic it will receive via search engine queries that will allow people to try your products and services.

When social networking sites originally started, they were mostly used for celebrities and businesses as a way to get information to fans and clients. Now people are finding more creative uses for social networking sites and every day there is a new idea.

A social networking site provides a person with instant access to hundreds of people, so any kind of message can be sent out to all of these people at once using a site such as Twitter. If a person has a car for sale for example, he or she could technically tweet all of his or her friends at once and notify them that the vehicle is for sale.I was looking for more information and found it here. Any interested parties could reply to the poster.

Requests for service and help can also be made using social networking. If a babysitter is wanted or needed, if someone is in a financial jam and needs a loan, if companionship is desired, if a job opening is free, or if a new restaurant or club is opening up, a person could literally post the information to hundreds or thousands of people. There are so many different ways that a user could take advantage or benefit from social networking these days.

Here are a few of the trends we keep seeing in the online world and what you can do with them…
Negative Space – it’s back. Try incorporating some white space and lots of “dead” page in your design – it will make whatever else you put on the page stand out even more.
Serif – Designers are finally starting to realize serif fonts are far easier to read online and in print and though it may seem antiquated it makes for a more pleasurable online experience.
Call to Action – ditching the pop-ups and adding in a clear call to action at the top and bottom of the page are things any good designer is doing nowadays.
Humanize the Logo – make the logo come to life and you’ve got an instant character to interact with on the page. Whether it’s animated or and actual animal you can design your logo in to the hearts of your readers.

Designing a website from the ground up can be quite the task. Whether you are doing it from a blank notepad page, or loading up your potential website in Dreamweaver, or Frontpage, there are templates for every style you want. In the older days of design, a template was just a skeleton, now they come complete with graphics, and easy to follow instructions. All perfectly laid out to look professional, creative, and allow you to dive right in and start adding your own content.

The first thing you need to do is find one. Many up and coming designers offer free ones, with the only catch being that you must leave their credits on the site. These can be really attractive, but you also lose any chance at being unique. Pay ones can be more elaborate, and can be customized for your personal tastes. Regardless of which route you go to, all of them will come ready to upload to the server. From there on you simply follow the instructions its creator made, and edit the correct files, then save them to server. Some will even even have blog interfaces that require you to do nothing out of the ordinary.

Creating a website involves a lot of time and designing in order to make the best possible product.

When designing, I would suggest to surf other websites so you can get an idea of what popular, and user friendly websites look like. Some website, when created, are very hard to navigate and are not user friendly in any shape or form. User friendliness is probably the number one key to a great website. You want people to see your website and to be able to look at everything on it. To do this, the website needs to be navigational, with all the links working and pages easy to find. Most websites have a site map where it lists, in a breakdown, all the pages in a website.

Bold and simplistic pages are also key to surfers flocking to your website. Website cannot have normal text on them, otherwise people cannot read it and strain to try. Website creators want to create pages with bold text, sometimes big, in order to jump out at the surfer then he or she navigates to the page. Simplistic pages are easy to find, navigate, and easy on the eyes when it comes to surfing.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It utilizes on-page and off-page optimization techniques to rank a website or page in search engines. If you have a website, you want to get traffic to it. SEO is how you do that. You cannot just set up a site and expect it to draw traffic without doing any SEO work.

On-page optimization includes keyword titles, headers, keyword density and internal link structure. A website should use keyword rich titles and headers while trying to maintain a keyword density that search engines consider optimal. Internal link structure will help get your pages listed in the search engines.

Off-page optimization is getting links from other websites going into your own. The more links you have the higher you will usually rank. Ranks from big sites are always more useful than links from less successful websites. The relevancy of the site linking in and the anchor text that you use also play a big role in SEO.

SEO can seem like a complicated bit of business. You can write the best, most original and informative content imaginable but without proper SEO techniques, you will not see the traffic that you should. A little studying on SEO can go a long way.

Online Marketing is a concept that has been a round for a while now, but has accelerated in popularity over the past few years with the explosion of Social networking websites. Web marking is a great way to find new customers and let your current customer know what kinds of promotion you currently have available.

The single most important part of online marketing is having an easy to navigate website. The customer needs to be able to find what they are looking for and have a way of contacting you. If you provide an email address or submission form be sure to keep up on email and respond to clients as soon as possible. Many times the first person to respond will get the customers business.

Be sure you have both a Facebook and Twitter account so you are able to take part in social networking. It is important to learn how both of these sites work and how to best use them to your advantage. Many people now go to a businesses Facebook before they go to the website so it is very important that you not only have an account but also keep it updated on a regular basis.
