Studio469??

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

Many people ask us the question, why studio469? Aren’t that just random numbers?

One of my favourite answers to this question is that design is all about the needs of the people. Good designers are like mindreaders and know what people want, before they even know it themselves.

If you go and check out the WordCount website and you type in the word that is ranked 469 in the most used words list, you will see that it shows ‘needs’

For all you junkies who aren’t quite satisfied with this answer, just keep on guessing ;)

Revealicious - Our 50TH Post on WWW.STUDIO469.COM

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

What you see here is an example from the Mapping Complexities website, found at visualComplexity.com It intends to be a unified resource space for anyone interested in the visualization of complex networks. The project’s main goal is to leverage a critical understanding of different visualization methods, across a series of disciplines, as diverse as Biology, Social Networks or the World Wide Web. I truly hope this space can inspire, motivate and enlighten any person doing research on this field. The first example is by Sebastien Pierre and Olivier Zitvogel who work for Ivy The second example is by a interaction student Patrick Vuarnoz Not to forget there’s something to celebrate! The 50th post on Studio469. We’re planning on re-designing the website, making post link together and improve on the looks. We’re looking forward to reaching the 100 posts within a couple months.
