5,084,000,000 people 5,360 pages 3,700 years 243 countries 7 books 1 shelf: Juxtaposed. Recently the design studio Mike&Maaike run by Mike Simonian and Maaike Evers came out with the Juxtaposed, a concept which shows all of the major holy writings of the world, together on the same level.

Mike&Maaike come up with many experimental designs and unexpected solutions for products. They are the mix between dutch design and just good old fashioned american design. Just take a look at their ‘veer’ design. Defying gravity and keeping people puzzled. The simplicity of the idea combined with fine workmanship makes this a very good concept.

And finally the rock-paper-scissors rings take the game to a whole new more symbolic level.
